Kennedy Kao is a filmmaker based in Toronto who makes films on loneliness in the Asian diaspora. His short film “Danica’s Mom” won the Grand Prix Prize at Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinema 2020 and screened at the Canadian Film Fest in 2021. His film “We Don’t Need Your Kind” has screened at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival, Emerging Lens Cultural Film Festival, and the Canadian Film Fest. Kennedy is currently working on his new film, “Good Boy.”
